Being alone on a Sunday can sometimes be lonely. However there are many positive affects to taking time for yourself. One of them being that you get to choose what you want to do and how much you want to fill your day. If you choose to be lazy, put your feet up and just chill out all day, you can. If you choose to stay active, do house work, prep for the week, and cook all day, you can. Because you only having one vote… your vote. So when it was just me, myself and I this past Sunday and I couldn’t decide between baking Oatmeal or Chocolate Chip cookies, these super soft Easy Baked Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Cookies were born! #pumpkineverything 🙂
Jordan and I headed up to the family cottage this week to change up the pace of everyday life and spend some quality time with each other. These past 2-3 weeks have been filled with a steady crazy work schedule for the both of us and so a few days away from home was much needed and well deserved. Its amazing what only a few days of doing nothing but catching up on sleep, relaxing and eating umpteen amounts of good food can do for the body. I believe the word is rejuvenation. And after only a day I’m already feelin’ it!
Life feels like it is busier than ever before… and I’m not complaining. I love it, I love what I do. I love my new path, my new life, my new direction. The past few weeks I have trained my brain to stay focused and I am becoming much more comfortable with my new agenda. Being able to create my own calendar keeping in mind the opportunities that arise from week to week and knowing that sometimes saying “no” is 100% ok. Ive learned that having the ability to say no to things that don’t align with my true priorities and realizing how much I can handle on a daily basis is very important.
This week I submitted my very first affiliate application to a company I felt very confident in called Nuzest !
After many years of trying out different brands of protein powders I was never satisfied with the results. I constantly found myself feeling bloated and my digestion lead to constant stomach pains using products incorporated with whey protein. I came across Nuzest while on Rachael Good Eats instagram one day and immediately my curiosity lead me to more in depth research on her website as to why she began using a natural plant based-protein. She too had stomach and digestion problems however after making the switch to Nuzest that all changed. So I went ahead and purchased the sample packs and as soon as they came in the mail I made some tasty Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Energy Balls .
I can’t say how happy I am that I not only found a protein that is super yummy but also one that contains all the essential amino acids, contains 20g protein preserving, is lactose, gluten, soy, dairy, nut and GMO-FREE AND with 98% digestibility! I am very much like Rachael in the sense that I too pride myself in how particular I am with products. I always factor in how easy they are to incorporate into everyday cooking & baking, the customer service of the specific company, and of course the reasonings behind why I feel so good after eating them. I encourage you all to try this particular product and start to enjoy the good-for-you health benefits it provides.
(see good news below!)
So with the recent launch of my blog only 3 weeks ago, I am SO very happy to announce the acceptance of my affiliate partnership with NUZEST!! I feel so fortunate to work with this fabulous company and I am excited to offer my readers a discount off any of there products upon checkout.
Go to Nuzest and enter ‘THENATURALLYNATALIE’ for 15% off ALL orders. Also receive free shipping over $50 with the coupon code! For anyone interested in trying out the pea protein but not wanting to commit to purchasing an entire tub I suggest the Clean Lean Protein Starter Pack with a selection of flavours to choose from. I love sticking with the vanilla flavor and try to incorporate it as much as I can with cooking and baking!
This recipe includes the add in of pea protein however completely leaving out the protein is an option as well. In fact I made up a batch with and one without and both of the textures turned out super soft & chewy! In an airtight container these cookies will last at least 5 days in the refrigerator… if they do last you 5 days I want to know who you are! For my husband and I it is impossible to not eat them all at once. True story.
Enjoy these fall flavoured, under 30 min, healthy, soft & chewy Pumpkin Cookies today! Be sure to tag me @ #thenaturallynatalie if you do as I love to see people whipping up my recipes and enjoying them just as much as I do!
